Our Edinburgh Campus is home to Oriam, Scotland’s Sports Performance Centre. This cutting-edge development transforms Heriot-Watt into the training hub for, among others, Scotland’s national football and rugby squads.
Oriam aims to be a collaborative environment to support Scotland’s up-and-coming sports men and women, their coaches and volunteers, to train and prepare for competition at the highest levels. The centre also welcomes students, staff, the local community and local sports groups.
Oriam Conference Suites
Oriam provides an excellent venue for your conference needs whether you wish to access the sports spaces or meeting spaces only. They offer a range of different meeting room options. All the spaces are complete with fully integrated AV facilities for any conference needs. These spaces can be booked in there on for corporate use, or can be added on to an existing booking as a space for meetings, award ceremonies or press. Guest Access to Gym Facilities
Guests staying in short term accommodation on campus are welcome to use the Oriam Gym facilities which are available to members of the public. A one time access pass can be purchased for £10.00.

Guest pass session includes full use of our fitness suite, the opportunity to attend one of over 35 group exercise classes within the week and access to changing rooms and café facilities.

We have a range of Pay As You Play Sports available that can be booked at Oriam Reception, or via the Oriam website or app. These included tennis, squash, football, badminton, basketball, table tennis and pickleball.
Guests must report to Oriam main reception to complete a health questionnaire before they exercise within Oriam facilities.
